The Government

The most recent parliamentary election was held on the 26th of March 2026. On the 13th of April the People's Party (Fólkaflokkurin), the Union Party (Sambandsflokkurin) and the Social Democratic Party (Javnaðarflokkurin) formed a government coalition.
