Representation of Faroe Islands in Beijing

The Representation was established in 2019 in Beijing. Although located in the Chinese capital, the area of activity includes not only China but also Japan, South Korea and the Far East at large.

The main tasks of the Representation are to formally represent the Faroe Islands in China and the Far East in general, in order to promote the Faroe Islands' interests vis-à-vis these countries, politically and commercially, but also culturally and otherwise to create a positive image of the Faroe Islands as an interesting country to cooperate with, in order to support the Faroe Islands' interests in this part of the world.

A priority goal is to promote better market access for Faroese companies, especially in China, Japan and South Korea.

There are great opportunities for growth for the Faroe Islands, both economically and in other ways, by developing relations and cooperation with this part of the world.

The Representation is happy to provide advice and information to the Faroese authorities, businesses, associations, etc. regarding China and the other countries in the region.
